Internet Explorer 7 to be released next week?

Microsoft seems to be quite confident that Internet Explorer v.7 has been completely tested and according to the MSDN Blog we should expect a final release in the US on October 18.

This will mark the first time since Microsoft has released an update for Internet Explorer since 2001 where Microsoft practically disabanded the development team until a new competitor; the Mozilla foundation started up their new project called SeaMonkey which later turned into Firefox.

The latest version of Internet Explorer includes built in anti-phishing tools, tabbed browsing and more enhancments.
